MORE REPORTS FROM THE IPAD 3 RUMOR MILL

Most tech-addicts are anticipating the release of every new Apple product including theiPad 3. Even before the release of this product, there are already several rumors posted online. Some of these rumors are possibly true, while others are not. Most experts are speculating about the possible characteristics, features, and specifications of this gadget by basing it on the previous iPad generation, the iPad2. Let us take a look at the several iPad 3 rumors that have been revolving around iPad review websites.

IPAD 3 RELEASE DATE

In the past, most of us had speculations about the iPad 2 release date. Now, we are guessing once more the iPhone 5 release date and the release date of the 3rd generation iPad product. Most Apple fans predicted that the release date of this 3rd generation iPad model will be on the month of September 2011. However, according to Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, iPad 2 will reign in the year 2011. Thus, experts assumed that the iPad 3 release date will be in the year 2012. In November 24, 2011, an article was posted on the web regarding the release of the Apple iPad 3 in early March 2012. It was even rumored that Apple could produce an Apple iPad 2 Plus before the release date of iPad 3. If this is true, then we may not be able to see the iPad 3G in the early quarter of 2012.

iPad 3 and Samsung

With the various iPad 3 rumors, another emerging rumor discusses the joint venture between Samsung and Apple. It is said that the A6 processor to be used on the 3G iPad will be manufactured by Samsung in South Korea. According to a source, Apple has already been discussing with Samsung to manufacture and ship the A6 quad core chips which will be used on the next iPhone and iPad generations. However, it seems like Apple has not yet counted Samsung Electronics as their supplier for the processor.
It has also been rumored that Apple will use the 300 DPI screen of Samsung, which was recently released and used by Samsung Electronics on their latest products. The 300 DPI screen involves the use of Samsung’s PenTile Technology. With the use of this technology, the white color can be generated only from a single white pixel. The resolution of this screen is two times better than the best screen that we have right now.

iPad 3 and Intel
The A6 processor to be used on the 3G Apple iPad is creating rumors all over the web. It has been said that Samsung Electronics from South Korea will be manufacturing this processor, but it seems like Intel is making its entrance as well. Samsung and Apple have enjoyed good partnership during the manufacturing process of the other Apple iOS processors. But due to the civil lawsuit between Apple and Samsung, it seems like Apple is seeking to purchase the A6 processor from Intel. Intel is not popular in the foundry business but it has been engaging in business with Apple when they supplied Apple with the x86 processors that were used in earlier designs of iPads.
iPad 3 Price
The iPad 3 rumors do not focus only on the possible specifications of this new iPad. Even the price of this product has been considered by everyone. Based on the iPad 2 price written in an iPad 2 review, the price can be higher than $499.00 because of the enhanced features and specifications and the additional iPad apps. A cheap iPad may be available after several months from the release date. There may also be enhanced cases available for this new product based from an iPad 2 case or several iPad 2 cases. The price may also depend on the memory device. Therefore, the higher the memory, the higher the price. More improved iPad accessories may also be available for this device.

IPAD 3 PROCESSOR TO COME FROM SAMSUNG

While we all know about the legal issues between Apple and Samsung, it is still possible that Apple will feature an A6 processor built by Samsung for the new AppleiPad 3 and new iPhones released in 2012. This information is not absolute, and it comes from an anonymous source, but it is still interesting nonetheless, and very well might be true. The anonymous source works as an executive for a supplier of Apple parts in Korea, and for obvious reasons, requested to remain anonymous, but that doesn’t mean that the information is not legitimate.
Rumors in the past stated that the Samsung A6 processor had been delayed, all the way until the middle of 2012, which, given the rumored first quarter of 2012 release date for the iPad 3, would be too late to be included in the first iPad 3 tablets. The source, however, has pointed out that Samsung has increased their production rate at their Texas based manufacturing plant, and would be able to produce more of the A6 processors at a much sooner time, possibly in time for the first quarter release of the iPad 3.
If the aforementioned rumor of the increased production of the A6 chip might also imply that Apple has started to produce the initial iPad 3 tablets. This would mean that the first quarter of 2012 release date for the iPad 3 is indeed accurate, and the processor would be ready in time to be shipped in the first iPad 3 units.
It is also possible that in addition to Samsung A6 processor, some custom chips would be produced by TSMC, also known as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited. This rumor is not fully confirmed, however, as there are several potentially negative aspects of switching to a supplier like TSMC. TSMC has not been stabilized yet, and Samsung has been known to price their products competitively, and with their excellent reputation, it is a safe choice to choose Samsung.
People know the level of quality that Apple products currently offer, and a manufacturer such as Samsung would be able to ensure that such a level is met. However, if they switched suppliers, there is a risk that the quality, performance, reliability, and other factors could be significantly impacted. Seeing as Apple makes sure that their customers are satisfied, it would greatly surprise us if they would take such a great risk and potentially compromise the quality that loyal fans so dearly love.
So with all of the aforementioned factors mentioned, all signs are pointing towards a Samsung A6 processor to be featured in the Apple iPad 3, to be released sometime in the first quarter of 2012. We are quite excited to see what the A6 processor can bring to the table in terms of performance, and we believe it should be quite impressive. This is, however, purely speculation, although it is without a doubt some of the most logically sound speculation that we have seen in quite some time.

IPAD 3 DISPLAYS TO COME FROM SHARP

Sources have just recently revealed that Apple might be having its high-end LCD display needs met by Sharp. Apparently the LCD displays may be coming from Sharp’s Kameyama No. 2 plant located in Japan. Sharp is being said to have outbid other suppliers for the iPad 3 contract. Sharp always has been supplying Apple with display panels for their iPhone’s.
Apple is said to be in the process right now of increasing their supply chain for production of iPhones and iPads. For this reason they have plans to invest $1 billion into facilities owned by Sharp. The other majory display panel suppliers for Apple’s products have been LG and Samsung. Though LG displays had faced some issues which created a reduction in their availability to Apple.
By getting Sharp on-board, Apple may be seeking to reduce their depency on just LG and Samsung. As it stands, Apple has been having some legal problems over patent rights with Samsung in a few select markets around the world. Interestingly enough, Samsung is not only Apple’s biggest competitor right now in the tablet space but also its largest supplier of several critical components such as the display panels that go into the production of the iPad. On the other hand, Sharp’s Osaka-based manufacuring facility produces LCD screens that go into the making of tablet devices as well as smartphones.

IPAD 3 PRODUCTION RUMORS

Some rumors have been floating around this week that Apple has already begun producing the much anticipated iPad3 somewhere in China. Or at least that’s what some analyst believes. According to this person the new iPad 3 will come equipped with a new and improved, high resolution screen (Up to 2048 x 1536) which is in-line with Apple’s tendency to improve screen quality like we saw with the iPhone 4. The new iPad 3‘s retina display will come free 3 different suppliers, namely: LG, Sharp and Samsung. Or so we hear…
It has also been widely reported lately that when Apple’s iPad 3 release date hits sometime early in 2012 that the new tablet will be 0.7mm thicker as compared to the iPad 2. This is said to be because Apple is facing some issues with the new screen technology and requires the extra space to accomodate a twin-light system for the screen and a single array of LEDs. The same rumors are suggesting that the screen on the iPad 3 will still be using Apple’s IPS technology for improved viewing angle, reading experience and correct color reproduction.
Though no matter what any analysts are saying, we’re still going to have to sit and wait until that much anticipated iPad 3 release date before we can be certain about anything.

THE IPAD 3 RELEASE DATE IS UPON US

If you’re inclined to believe what the insiders are saying, Apple plans to take the tablet experience to a whole new level with the release of the iPad 3.
Apple usually releases an iOS device about a year after its predecessor, but several rumors have been floating around recently that slate an iPad 3 launch for sometimes this fall/winter. That’s right. An iPad 3 could be coming your way before we’re through with 2011. Just imagine the Christmas frenzy… Ugh.
However. If past releases are any indication, and the rumors are false, we might have to wait several months still. Both the iPad and the iPad 2 were released in the early spring season and shipped off around the end of March. This puts the iPad 3 release date right on track for March 2012. Unless of course something goes wrong int he production of it as we’ve seen before with Apple’s big releases.
We hope to have an official iPad 3 release date for you as soon as possible. In the mean time keep checking back. We’ve got some more rumored iPad 3 featuresand specs coming in that we’ll be releasing in the next day or two.
Brand new IPAD 3 looks cool ya!
